Our client  in Uganda a plastics manufacturing company and a subsiduary company to a reputable FMCG manufacturing group is seeking to fill the role of a CEO.

Reporting to: Group CEO

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the development and implementation of the company strategy to grow the business operations in line with both short- and long-term goals.
• To develop and deliver Business Plans for the assigned Business Operations in line with the stakeholders’ expectations, Company’s and Group’s Vision and Mission for the approval by Group CEO and the Board of Directors of SPL and implement and achieve Business Plan Targets.

• Deploy and Deliver Manufacturing annual plan and financial results including targets on service, costs, productivity, quality, innovation and OSHE.
• Recommend long term factory strategic plans to the GCEO and contribute to the attainment of the overall Group objectives.
• Lead manufacturing plant to develop and implement continuous improvement plans to deliver site targets – manufacturing performance management
• Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis

• Manage and deliver the manufacturing financial results: annual budgets, Sourcing Unit Result, conversion costs and create programs to deliver financial results
• To coordinate and provide required products to MPL and other companies in a fashion so as to achieve planned NSV and capacity utilization of Production Lines.
•  Champion Projects and Investments

• In charge of Leadership and Compliance
• Develop a growth strategy focused business development initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
• Proactively work with product line management, engineering, service and other departments to incorporate best practices into the manufacturing environment
• Report on SPL activities on a regular basis to the Group Leadership Team and the Board ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators
• Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the manufacturing strategy
• Communicate with stakeholders the impact of technology change and potential effects on supply. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost
• Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on manufacturing activities

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s in Business Related Field Mandatory
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or any other related qualification.
• Minimum 10 + Years Relevant Experience in the Plastic Manufacturing sector;
• Strong strategy development skills and strong analytical ability.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components and Good Manufacturing Practices.
