Our client is a well-established 5 Star Hotel in East Africa in seeking to hire a proactive and results oriented Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be tasked with a duty to maximize the overall revenue of the hotel through revenue generating activities & strategies.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Aggressively solicit and follow up on leads generated
· Broaden productive client base and increase awareness of hotel
· Establish and maintain active working partnerships with the sales & reservations departments of key Partners
· Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost business for the hotel
· Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue and room night goals
· Conduct personalized sales campaigns within designated territory to promote the hotels, programs, packages and special promotions
· Coordinate and participate in trade shows, key trade & business associations to generate business leads and increase hotel visibility
· Actively participate in Initiate and implement sales promotional programs with stakeholders
· Maximize exposure through creative promotion both during and pre /post event
· Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, the sales team to ensure they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards
· Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Sales and Marketing or related field
· 5 years’ experience in sales Hotel Industry – conferences, accommodation, restaurant, catering.
· 3+ years in luxury hotel in Sales in a 4/5 star hotel
