DEPOT SALES MANAGER (LPG)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Purpose:
To support the organization, realize its strategic intent on growth through alignment of the operations execution through efficient; loading, offloading, receiving, storage, Filling and shipping of the gas LPG to reach its destination and intended valuable customers. In addition, the role plays an integral part in the Route to market (RTM) strategy in collaboration with other departments especially the sales team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure timely & accurate customer service relations to LPG deliveries.
- Steward Product Control & Measurements.
- Inspection of equipment periodically and Coordinating preventive maintenance at the Depot.
- Ensure compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 requirements at the depot.
- Developing and managing filling depot budgets, ensuring operating expenses are within approved budget and that value is maximized in all areas of expense and proposal for both yearly CAPEX and OPEX
- Monitor control of product losses during receipt, in storage and during issuing.
- Developing, implementing and enforcing compliance and adherence to company policies requirements, procedures and systems, and statutory requirements at the terminal e.g. licensing and labor requirements.
- Regularly monitoring the state of depot terminal security and initiating preventive action for any identified exposure.
- Ensure efficient and smooth operations of all plant activities including but not limited to safe and proper receipt, storage, filling and handling of products/equipment at the plant.
- Approving all documents as per the delegation of authority guide.
- Coordination of Pool cylinder collection/picking.
- Liaising with industry and other stakeholders in coordinating emergency response and preparedness and being the Incident Commander in the event of an emergency at the LPG Plant.
- Routine carrying out of fire drills in liaison with EHS Manager.
- Adhering to statutory and standard requirements on equipment/cylinder/storage and plant by ensuring timely plant and equipment maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted service and equipment compliance with product measurement integrity.
- Approval of all spare parts and equipment’s leaving the plant.
- Reviewing daily and monthly stock reports and ensuring that loss analysis beyond approved limits is promptly carried out and explanations for variation given to CEO.
- Managing, coaching and mentoring to ensure a high level of employee motivation and performance.
- Co-ordination of stock avails in liaison with other stockholders’ i.e. Logistic, Distribution etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in LPG business
- Proficiency in using MS Office products (i.e. MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc.).
- Ability to perform a broad range of specialized activities related to Admin management, and performance evaluation, monitoring of transactions and reporting.
