FAIRTRADE ADMINISTRATOR
Reporting to the Fairtrade Premium Committee (FPC) and the Fairtrade Officer
Our client is a Fairtrade-certified flower farm located in Naivasha looking to fill in the position of a fairtrade administrator. Under the guidance of the Fairtrade Officer; the incumbent will be responsible for the overall administrative and financial responsibilities of the fairtrade premium committee.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the administrative management of all the Fairtrade Premium Committee functions.
- Keep and maintain the general ledger for all Fairtrade premium transactions updated on a timely basis.
- Preparation of all financial statements of the fair-trade committee, and coordinating with external auditors.
- Undertake bank reconciliation for all the bank accounts each month.
- Prepare bank payment vouchers for approval by the authorized signatories
- Undertake all the functions as per the terms of reference for Fairtrade
- Participate in the management of the Fairtrade premium projects – i.e., ensure proper documentation of all projects, accounting for all projects, and maintenance of all contracts and related documents.
- Ensuring that all the documentation of Fairtrade transactions, training, and supported projects are done to the required standards.
- Compiling beneficiary application requisitions for various projects.
- Taking minutes of the Fairtrade premium committee/subcommittee meetings.
- Handling day-to-day operational and employee issues.
- Updating all Fairtrade notice boards
- Carrying out project monitoring and evaluation hand in hand with the FPC committee.
- Assisting the fair-trade committee during fair-trade audits, by providing of all necessary documentation.

- Performing any other duties as may be required by your seniors pertaining to Fairtrade
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCES:
- Must have a minimum of CPA-2
- Must have a Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration
- Experience in the similar position will be an added advantage
- Valid certificate of good conduct
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Integrity, honesty, flexibility, and good interpersonal skills
- Be a team player and Self disciplined
- Effective communication skills both spoken and written.
