HEAD OF SALES -GUJARATI SPEAKING
Reports to: Managing Director / BOD / Chairman
Job Purpose
A Head of Sales is responsible for managing all marketing & sales activities and working closely with marketing & sales managers to determine sales objectives, forecasts and quotas. Your duties include training marketing & sales team, identify key markets, stay on top of emerging trends, hitting monthly & annual targets, cultivating & building relationships and understanding customer trends and collaborate with teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximize sales opportunities.
- Direct & lead the Sales team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Establish customer relationship management (CRM) systems and guidelines to manage customer relationships.
- Working with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
- Foster relationships with Customers to grow customer loyalty.
- Leading and motivating staff to improve customer service with clients.
- Establish internal guidelines for personal data protection based on applicable legislations, to manage customer data.
- Outline objectives in key target areas such as sales volume, market share, distribution channels and profit margins to guide promotions and sponsorships.
- Assessing costs, competition, and supply and demand to identify selling prices.
- Recommend changes in pricing structures in product lines or products.
- Collaborate with members of the Marketing team to penetrate key markets.
- Participate in forums to keep abreast of new changes in the industry and practices.
- Monitor changes in the industry and leverage them for business opportunities.
- Provide input to the Content Development team based on customer and industry feedback.
- Identifies top talent and contributes to the recruitment of key sales department personnel, hence, maintaining efficient and effective execution of duties within the sales department.
- Establishing a sales training program to train new employees.
- Meeting with Regional Sales Managers & Sales Managers to assess company performance.
- Provide input on sales incentive structure and key performance indicators to help monitor targets.
- Investigate factors impacting sales performance & review sales performance by analyzing performance reports
- Submit monthly sales reports by Principals, regions, branches, distributors, sub-distributors, key customers and by Sales personnel wise.
- Takes up and performs any other duty as it may be assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 15 to 20 yrs. 5 to 8 yrs out of which in Heading Sales and Marketing Department
- Gujarati speaking -MUST
- Experience working in Uganda -MUST have
