Assistant Camp Manager

Reports to: Camp Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support to camp managers in ensuring that the camp meets the set service standards
• Provide management support to camp managers and serve between management and staff
• Coordinate duty allocation in conjunction with camp managers
• Responsible for ensuring effective stock management in conjunction with camp managers while embracing the most economical & profitable practices
• Coordinate leave schedule management
• Prepare relevant camp management and operational reports
• Provide support in ensuring effective safety and health management
• Ensure effective coordination of all eco matters in camp in conjunction with the assigned eco warrior as well as waste disposal as per set standards
• Ensure the maintenance report books and checklists are updated
• Participate in hosting lunches & dinners as and when required by the manager
• Provide support to camp managers in budget and cost management
• Ensure proper record keeping of relevant documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree /diploma in hospitality or relevant field from a recognized institution
• At least 2 years’ experience in camp/lodge management
• Effective leadership & organizational skills
