Roles & Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders and internal teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants to review technical designs and resolve construction challenges.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ensure all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with local and national construction and environmental laws.
• Ensure that external contractors adhere strictly to contract terms including technical specifications as well as health and safety requirements.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of hydropower construction projects.
• Manage and coordinate contractors and in-house on-site construction teams and contractors.
• Monitor and address any deviations from project plans promptly.
• Monitor construction quality and ensure adherence to technical specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee the successful installation of equipment including turbines, generators, etc.
• Prepare and present progress reports, including updates on milestones, budget
• Resolve on-site issues efficiently to avoid project delays.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Master’s degree in construction management, project management, or related field (preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years specifically overseeing large-scale infrastructure or hydropower projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple, simultaneous projects in complex, remote, or challenging environments.
