Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in obtaining required authorizations from regulatory bodies, such as the Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Environment, and in conducting environmental and social impact assessments.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including cost-benefit analysis, financial modeling, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Net Present Value (NPV) assessments to evaluate the economic feasibility of projects.
- Coordinate and manage external experts when required.
- Lead feasibility analyses for hydropower projects, incorporating topographic, geological, hydrological, hydraulic, civil design, and electromechanical aspects.
- Lead the development of detailed plans for hydropower projects, considering water flow, turbine efficiency, power generation capacity, and design optimization.
- Oversee the successful evaluation of potential hydropower sites, including conducting topographic mapping, flow measurements, power calculations, and cost estimates to assess site quality and suitability for development.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project cash flows, referencing the bill of quantities and cost estimates for civil works and hydro-mechanical installations.
- Work closely with other specialists, including geologists, environmental scientists, and engineers, to ensure comprehensive, safe, and efficient project designs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in feasibility studies and project planning for hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on site evaluation, design, and financial analysis
- Hands on experience in topographic, geological, hydrological, and civil design aspects of hydropower or related projects.
