SALES REPRESENTATIVE -HORECA
Job Summary
The overall purpose of the Sales Rep - HORECA role is driving revenue growth, developing new business and servicing existing customers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow a portfolio of HoReCa customers
- Execute structured call cycles and visit schedules to all assigned customers
- Ensure accurate and timely order management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers ( Chefs,buyers, owners)
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within the assigned segment
- Drive product penetration within existing accounts (Upselling & cross selling)
- Actively participate in trade fairs, activations and industry events
- Track and follow ups on tenders and business leads
- Ensure timely collections of all outstanding debts and maintain customer healthy credit positions
- Provide input on customer credit terms based on risk assessment and performance
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely and accurate allocation of payments (Mpesa and EFT) & credit/debit not issuance
- Develop and present quarterly promotional plans and sampling proposals for HoReCa outlets
- Propose and implement in-store branding and visibility initiatives
- Propose and support sampling, activations and menu integration initiatives
- Ensure all customer complaints are logged, escalated and resolved
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HoReCa related customer inquiries
- Submit weekly and Monthly sales performance reports
- Track customer retention rate, growth & category performance
- Provide market insights, competitor activities and customer feedback
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in business related course
- At least two years’ experience working in a busy sales department most preferred in HoReCa
- Strong relationship management, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
